Welcome to the Talking Babies Blog!
In class I am often encouraged to write a text book. Well, this is very flattering and tempting however, with two little kids demanding most of my attention it doesn’t seem possible. For now. Instead I have decided to write a bite-size Talking Babies blog. I want to help as many expectant parents prepare for their birth and baby properly. Like the courses I will discuss Natural birth, common interventions, the birth partner’s role and postnatal skills. I will include invaluable additional areas:
Real birth stories – kindly shared by parents from my courses, my friends or my family, of course I will share my own! These Birth stories are all real, written by parents for parents-to-be. I do not change a thing. I’d like to thank all the parents who have kindly taken the time to put pen to paper to help other Mummies and Daddies on their journeys.
‘I Wish I Was Told’ – For this section I have contacted current Mummies and Daddies from all over and asked them what they wish they were told. I will then discuss via a blog.
I hope you find what I write helpful. I must declare that I am a Mummy first, Midwife second and a Writer third (somewhere in that ranking Wife fits in!) Please forgive any spelling or grammatical errors!
If you are concerned about your pregnancy, labour or baby please do not hold off calling your maternity care provider for immediate advice and support.
I would like to state that any opinions made are my own.
Enjoy reading!
