Welcome to ‘Talking Babies’. We aim to present antenatal classes that are fun, relaxed and informative.
Both of our course leaders are fully qualified, experienced and practising midwives. Perhaps more importantly, both course leaders are also mothers. Our friendly antenatal classes consist of four informal classes. We will cover an array of topics within pregnancy, birth and the early days. We encourage social reunions, where you can meet again, share your birth stories and most importantly meet your new arrivals. Building invaluable, lifelong friendships.
The sea of information out there can be quite daunting. Let us help you to learn the facts and empower you with knowledge. Our classes are focused around today’s care and advice, what to expect and how to get the most from your experience.
We recommend you start our classes when you are around 30 weeks pregnant. However, please contact us if you wish to attend when further on in your pregnancy.
Emily (Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch)
I’m Emily. I qualified as a midwife in Devon over ten years ago and continue to practice today within Dorset.
Perhaps more importantly, I am also a mother to two lovely daughters. I have experienced local maternity hospitals both professionally and as a mother. Therefore, I am able to give a unique, unbiased perspective of each. I am passionate about ensuring mothers-to-be are given accurate and informative information on how to get the very best from their birth experience.
I have two daughters and have had incredibly positive experiences in both hospital and homebirth.
I am passionate about providing women with the correct information to make their individual birth choices. I believe that antenatal education and forming realistic expectations can lead to a positive transition into parenthood.
For insurance purposes, during our classes course leaders will not be able to offer hands-on Midwifery care. Should any issues or concerns arise we will encourage you to immediately contact your local maternity care provider.
